Members, please see the attached Notification on Moratorium that was shared with members that there have been elk sightings in the Tkemlups te Secwépemc (TteS) territory, it has been many years since elk have been sighted with regularity in Tk’emlúpsemcúl’ecw and because of this, a motion has been passed to establish a moratorium on any hunting of Elk. We hope with this in place we can one day see a significant increase in population for future generations.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact TteS.

North Reservoir

Today marks a historic day for TteS! We are celebrating the completion of the North Reservoir, making TteS as the first First Nations to use their development cost charges to fund a capital project.  As a result of the project, there is significant developable land available and an industrial level of fire protection.

Please see attached press release for more information.

Councillor Justin would like to extend his appreciation to the P and E team, especially John ter Borg, for all his hard work in seeing this project to completion.

Chief and Council would like to encourage all to share their successes as there are lots within our organization.  TteS has lots to be proud about!
