Lexéy̓em: Reports to Membership

Lexéy̓em means “to tell a story” in Secwépemctsin. This collection of reports shares updates from Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc (TteS) leadership directly with membership.

First published in the late 1970s, Lexéy̓em began as a printed newsletter covering a wide range of community news from across Secwepemcúl̓ecw, with a focus on Tk̓emlúps. Long before social media, email, apps, and smartphones, it was a vital source of information for members.

In the 2010s, as email and social media became common tools for sharing news and event updates, Lexéy̓em evolved into a bi-annual printed report from Chief and Council. These editions focused on Council activities, portfolios, and key meetings. PDF versions were also made available for download. You’ll find an archive of these printed editions at the bottom of this page.

In June 2023, Lexéy̓em transitioned to a fully digital platform. This shift allows Chief and Council to provide more timely updates throughout the year, without waiting for a set publication schedule.
