Oct 20 | Legal Aid Transition for Indigenous Peoples

The BC First Nations Justice Council (BCFNJC) is inviting individuals, justice and social development workers from Indigenous communities, and representatives from community justice organizations to participate in a discussion about the transition of legal aid services from Legal Aid BC to BCFNJC, an Indigenous-led organization. They are seeking input and experiences related to the current legal aid system’s impact on Indigenous people and exploring opportunities for a new legal aid model. This event is open to all, and participation is encouraged.
