Cultural Burning Workshops
Workshops take place the week of February 27 – March 3 from 8:30 am—3:00 pm each day. Community Welcome. All workshops at held at Tswéllewten (White Tech Building) 363 Chief Alex Thomas Way. Honorariums will be available for elders to attend, transportation provided

- Lloyd Ley (Splatsin) to talk about indigenous fallers
- Jennifer Morrison and Colleen Seymour on traditional plants and the benefits of cultural burning
- Harry Spahan will talk about the cultural burning protocols and storytelling
- Shane Wardrobe will speak on the policy and procedures for cultural burns on TteS land. Also the development of a Wildland Firefighting Crew for TteS
