VISION

The Ranch has the land bases, resources, and potential to be a show case for our nation. With unlimited opportunities in careers and stewards of the lands through proper management of all our resources and pride and ownership of all our lands. The ranch can maintain its present operations and focus on with unused lands back into production. Setting up a Slaughterhouse, reseeding unused lands, upgrading the irrigation system, developing a gravel pit, and renting the homes.

HISTORY

The Spiyu7ullucw Ranch Corp was called the Harper Ranch by the Harper brothers who set up a ranching operation on the north shore of the South Thompson River in 1862. In 1888, after the ranch was sold to the Western Canadian Ranching Company. After various families briefly owned the Harper ranch during the latter half of the twentieth century. The Kamloops Band purchased 44,000 acres of the ranch for $6.9 million in 1988. In the end the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc First Nations band purchased their land back. Where it is now called Spiyu7ullucw Ranch Corp which means bird land.
