Important Property Tax Information
Property Tax Due Date—August 2 each year
8am—4pm Monday to Friday (closed for lunch 12-1pm)
All property tax notices are mailed by July 2 each year. Should tax payers not receive their tax notice by the first week in July, please contact the Lands, Leasing & Tax Department at
New property owners are responsible for payment of taxes by the due date to avoid the 10% penalty, whether or not they receive a tax notice.
Properly completed First Nation Grant applications and payments must be received by the property tax due date to avoid the 10% penalty.
The First Nation Grant application form is located on the back of the tax notice.
Payments may be made in person or by mail at the Accounts Receivable office, Finance Department, in the Secwépemc Building (Administration Building). For any payment inquiries, please call 250-828-9861.

Note: Mail lost or delayed by the post office will be assessed the penalty as the postmark date will not be accepted as proof of payment by the due date.
