Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey that will transport you to the heart of Indigenous history and traditions? The NDTR Event is a must-attend celebration that invites the general public to explore the rich tapestry of the Secwepemc culture.

At the core of this captivating event lies a profound opportunity to deepen your understanding of the Secwepemc people and their profound connection to the land. Through a series of engaging activities, you will have the chance to truly immerse yourself in this vibrant and resilient culture.

One of the event’s undoubted highlights is the chance to take a symbolic travel around the medicine wheel. This ancient and revered symbol serves as a powerful metaphor for the interconnectedness of all things, and by engaging with it, you will gain a deeper appreciation for the Secwepemc’s holistic worldview. Prepare to be captivated by the stories, teachings, and insights that will unfold as you embark on this transformative journey.

But the experience doesn’t stop there. The NDTR Event also promises a feast for the senses, with the sounds of traditional singing and dancing filling the air. Witness the grace and energy of Secwepemc performers as they share their cultural heritage, and be transported to a realm where the past and present seamlessly intertwine.

For those eager to delve even deeper into the Secwepemc history and way of life, the event will offer shortened KIRS (Kamloops Indian Residential School) tours. These guided experiences provide a poignant and thought-provoking look into the complex and often painful legacy of the residential school system. Places for these tours are limited, so be sure to sign up in advance to secure your spot.

As you immerse yourself in the captivating world of the Secwepemc, you will undoubtedly leave with a renewed sense of respect, appreciation, and connection to this vibrant and resilient culture. The NDTR Event is a rare opportunity to step beyond the boundaries of your own experience and to truly understand the rich tapestry of Indigenous history and traditions.

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this transformative experience. Join us at the NDTR Event and let the Secwepemc culture captivate your heart and mind.
