Join us for the All Candidates Forum in accordance with Section 16 of the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc Custom Election Regulations (CER). This is a re-schedule of postponed October 26 All Candidates Forum.

Forum Format

Each individual Candidate for Chief shall address the membership for a minimum of five (5) minutes and a maximum of ten (10) minutes; and; Each individual Candidate for Councillor shall address the membership for a minimum of five (5) minutes and a maximum of seven (7) minutes; and; If time permits; there will be an opportunity for Electors to ask questions of the candidates upon completion of the presentations.

If the candidate cannot attend, the individual must, in advance, notify the Electoral Officer. Any nominated candidate who does not address the membership in the forum and has not notified the Electoral Officer in advance, will be declared ineligible as a candidate.

You must be a Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc band member to attend the forum. The forum will be moderated by an independent moderator in accordance with Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc Custom Election Regulations.

The Forum will be live-streamed. If time permits, virtual questions will be handled by the moderator through the Zoom Team Chat feature. A Zoom link was sent to all band members that are signed-up to receive emails from Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc.
